2. Visiting the website

When you visit www.speedsport-magazine.com or www.speedsport-magazine.de, your browser automatically sends data to our server: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer URL, browser and operating system. They are stored in server log files to deliver the website, keep it secure and stable and fix errors, and deleted after 14 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Hosting takes place on servers located in Germany.

3. Cookies

This website sets no cookies or similar storage for visitors. Exceptions: if you object to analytics (section 4), you receive a cookie that only records this objection. Editors who log in receive a technically necessary session cookie.

4. Analytics with Matomo

We measure usage with Matomo on our own server (w3box), without cookies. IP addresses are shortened before storage; no link to individuals is possible. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can object to this measurement at any time. Your browser then stores a cookie that only records the objection; if you delete your cookies, you will be counted again.

5. Contact form

If you write to us via the contact form, we process your name, email address and message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The message is sent to us by email and deleted once it has been dealt with, unless we are obliged to keep it.

To prevent spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the form is shown, technical browser data and your IP address are sent to Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The script is loaded on the contact page only.

6. Maps (OpenStreetMap)

Maps of circuits and seasons show OpenStreetMap tiles served by FOSSGIS e.V. (Bundesallee 23, 10717 Berlin, Germany). When a map is displayed, your browser loads the tiles from tile.openstreetmap.de and sends IP address, referrer and browser data to FOSSGIS e.V. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

7. Videos (YouTube)

Videos are not embedded directly. The page first shows a locally stored preview image; only when you click “Play” is the video loaded from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). From that click on, your browser sends data to Google, including to the USA. Legal basis: your consent by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the competent authority is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany).

9. Racing driver database

The database contains names, nationality, date of birth and sporting results of racing drivers from publicly available sources (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, motorsport reporting).
