The ADAC Formula 4 is a German junior racing series according to the FIA Formula 4 regulations. Since 2015, it has been the successor to the ADAC Formula Masters. The ADAC Formula Masters was the replacement for the 2007 discontinued Formula BMW.

The Formula Renault Northern European Cup ("NEC") was held from 2006 to 2018 with Formula Renault 2.0 race cars. The NEC was created as a successor series of the German and Dutch Formula Renault. A planned sequel under the name "Formel NEC" for 2019 was canceled because of too few participants.
